A Japanese Food Promotion Campaign During the United Nations General Assembly Week

Thank you for your continued support of JFHANY.
During next month’s United Nations General Assembly Week, a special campaign will be held in conjunction with an event showcasing the appeal of Japanese tourism and cuisine.
Through participating Japanese restaurants in New York, this campaign aims to promote Japanese food and ingredients and provide consumers with opportunities to experience and enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine.
We are inviting 15 JFHANY member restaurants to participate in this campaign.

Campaign Promotion
The campaign organizers will handle the following promotional activities:
Campaign announcement at the September 22 event
Creation of a dedicated campaign landing page
Social media promotion, primarily on Facebook and Instagram
Requests for Participating Restaurants
Participation Support: $1,000
(This amount includes the cost of ingredients used for the campaign menu.)
During the United Nations General Assembly Week in September, we will conduct a campaign promoting the appeal of Japanese ingredients through restaurants across New York City. We hope you will join us in creating an opportunity to showcase Japanese cuisine throughout New York.
Participation Requirements
Campaign Period:
Wednesday, September 23–Sunday, October 4, 2026
1. Offer a campaign menu featuring Japanese ingredients
During the campaign period, please offer at least one special menu item featuring Japanese ingredients. Restaurants may participate in a format that best suits their business, such as combining existing menu items, offering a limited-time set, or creating a new dish.
The menu should give customers a special experience or added value beyond the restaurant’s regular offerings.
Menu examples:
- A campaign-exclusive dish featuring Japanese ingredients
- A special set pairing a dish, such as seared yellowtail, with Japanese sake
- A campaign-exclusive set combining existing menu items
- An additional dish featuring Japanese ingredients
- A dessert made with Japanese rice flour added to an omakase course
Each restaurant may set its own prices.
Examples of eligible Japanese ingredients include wagyu beef, yellowtail, matcha, scallops, Japanese sake, shochu, rice flour, Japanese rice, and Japanese fruit juice.

2. Display campaign signage and inform your staff
The campaign organizers will produce and provide in-store promotional materials, including POP displays.
3. Distribute promotional items to customers who order the campaign menu
Please give the promotional items provided in advance by the campaign organizers to customers who order the featured menu.
4. Promote the campaign through your restaurant’s social media channels
5. Provide materials for the campaign webpage
Please provide your restaurant information, logo, campaign menu details, food photos, and information about the Japanese ingredients used.
6. Complete a brief post-campaign survey
How to Apply
1. Please let us know of your interest in participating by Friday, August 21.

The campaign organizers will reply with the additional information required to complete your application.
2. By Tuesday, September 1, please submit the following:
- Restaurant information
- Restaurant logo
- Japanese ingredients to be used in the campaign
- Campaign menu details
- Photos
These materials will be used on the campaign website.
Participation is limited to approximately 15 restaurants and will be confirmed after reviewing each restaurant’s eligibility and proposed menu.
