1. Opt-In
We send newsletters only to recipients who have affirmatively opted in through the newsletter signup modal on https://jfhany.org or during member registration. We use a single opt-in process and do not require email confirmation, but you may unsubscribe at any time as described in Section 5. Newsletter consent is independent from membership and may be withdrawn at any time.
2. Content
Newsletters may include industry news, event announcements, HR and compliance alerts, sponsor notices, and other JFHANY-related communications.
3. Frequency
Approximate frequency: up to 4 emails per month. Frequency may vary based on news volume and event cadence.
4. Sender Identification (CAN-SPAM Act Compliance)
Every marketing email will include:
- A clear identification of JFHANY as the sender;
- A truthful and non-deceptive subject line;
- A valid physical postal address: 49 W 45th St, FL5, New York, NY 10036;
- A clear and functional unsubscribe mechanism;
- Prompt processing of unsubscribe requests (within 10 business days).
5. Unsubscribe
You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any newsletter, or by emailing info@jfhany.org. After processing, you will not receive further marketing emails, though you may continue to receive transactional emails related to your membership (such as renewal notices, password resets, or policy updates).
6. Forwarding and Sharing
Do not forward newsletters with the intent to misrepresent them as commercial communications from you. Subscribers may not sell, share, or otherwise distribute the subscriber list.
7. Data Handling
Email addresses for the newsletter are stored on Mailchimp (operated by Intuit Inc.), subject to Mailchimp’s privacy and security practices, in addition to the JFHANY Privacy Policy. Data may be processed on servers located in the United States.
8. Children
We do not knowingly send newsletters to individuals under 13 years old.
9. International Subscribers
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction that grants additional rights (such as GDPR or Japan’s APPI), you may contact info@jfhany.org to exercise your rights.
10. Changes
JFHANY may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated via a newsletter or on the Site.
