Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: April 20, 2026

1. General Policy

Except as expressly stated in this Policy or as required by applicable law, all membership fees, event fees, and sponsorship fees are non-refundable once paid.

2. Membership Dues

  • (a) Annual membership dues are non-refundable after the start of the membership term.
  • (b) Refunds will not be issued for partial-year membership where benefits have been accessed.

3. Event and Seminar Fees

  • (a) Paid event tickets are generally non-refundable.
  • (b) If JFHANY cancels or materially reschedules an event, registrants may request a full refund or credit toward a future event.

4. Termination for Cause

If JFHANY terminates a membership due to a violation of the Terms of Use (including the community conduct rules in Section 6 of the Terms of Use) or applicable law, no refund will be issued.

5. How to Request a Refund

Submit a written request to info@jfhany.org, including your name, membership type, invoice number, date of payment, and reason for the request. JFHANY will respond within 7 business days.

6. Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued by bank transfer to the account from which payment was originally made, or, where that is not reasonably possible, to an alternate bank account designated by the member in writing. Members are responsible for providing accurate bank account information. JFHANY is not responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect information provided by the member. Refunds are typically processed within 20 business days after approval, subject to banking timelines. Any bank fees associated with the transfer may be deducted from the refunded amount at JFHANY’s reasonable discretion.

7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe an invoice is incorrect or you have a concern about a payment, please contact info@jfhany.org before taking other action, so we can address your concerns directly.

Where credit card payment has been used, please contact JFHANY before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer so we can address your concerns directly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting JFHANY, or initiating an abusive or bad-faith chargeback or payment dispute, may result in termination of membership and recovery of associated fees and costs.

8. Changes to This Policy

JFHANY may update this Policy. Changes apply to fees paid on or after the effective date of the change.
